Amazon Rainforest: Land Use Conflict

In Earth.Buzz students are researching issues associated with land use in the Amazon Rain forest. Specifically, students will be taking on the perspective of 1/6 different interest groups in the Amazon rain forest region. (Native Amazonians, Rubber Tappers, Loggers, Environmentalists, Cattle Ranchers, or Settlers). Students will be working in teams to create a news report as to why their interest group should have the most rights to the resources of the Amazon rain forest. The essential question over the next few days is this: How should the resources of the Amazon rain forest be used and preserved? Stay tuned for presentations....
